Every year at the end of January we have the Acumatica Summit where Acumatica releases the first release (R1) for the year. With the 2021 Summit moved to the summer, Acumatica 2021 R1 launched virtually on February 18th.
In a previous post we highlighted the new features in Acumatica 2021R1, in this post we look at Usability Enhancements in detail:
Dashboard Updates
New with the 2021 R1 release, you can add linked and meter tiles to your dashboards.
Link tiles allow you to link to specific activities or reports and then act on these activities. With meter tiles you can visually show how specific goals are being met by your organization. Also, meter tiles not only can you use absolute values for your thresholds, but you can also use inquiry fields and present values.
One of the challenges with dashboard widgets in Acumatica is sharing data with others in the organization. Starting with 2020R1, you can copy data to other dashboards using a simple click of a button.
Then, in dashboard you want the data to go into, simply paste the data.
Improvements to Side Panels
Since its introduction in 2019R1, side panels have become a useful tool for navigating in Acumatica. With the release for 2021R1, new visibility conditions on side panels are available. With visibility conditions, you can define what condition are needed to affect when side panels appear and the order of the icons appearing in the side panel.
New Financial Dashboards
New dashboards for Controller, AR and AP are built in 2021R1. The controller dashboard has links tiles AR and AP dashboards.
