Acumatica Navigation: Dashboards, Inquiries & Reports

With hundreds of dashboards, inquiries, and reports in Acumatica, you can access real-time information on your company, displayed in various presentation forms, allowing for quick data analysis. But what exactly are dashboards, inquiries, and reports?

Dashboards in Acumatica

A dashboard is a collection of widgets, which have drill-down capabilities, that are displayed on a single screen. By using the drill-down capabilities, you can navigate directly from a dashboard widget to the source of the data you are viewing, so that you can learn more about and take actions on the data that is highlighted on the dashboard.

With Acumatica dashboards for consulting engineering firms you can monitor real-time information from your company that relates to your job. Information can be displayed in various presentation forms—such as text, charts, graphs, and tables—depending on your preferences and the specific type of data you want to see.

Inquiries in Acumatica

Inquiries in Acumatica allow you to take raw data and present it for reporting in a way that it can be analyzed on the screen. Inquiries can be used in dashboards, on screen inquiries, made available to BI tools, and offer drill-down capabilities for even more detailed analysis.

Reports in Acumatica

Acumatica reports display the information you want to see in easy to consume formats.  As the user, you can adjust the report settings to meet your specific informational needs. You can specify sorting and filtering options and select the data by using report-specific settings—such as financial period, ledger, and account—and configure additional processing settings for each report. These settings can be saved as a report template for later use.

When you run a report, the prepared report appears on your screen. You can print the report, export the report to a file, or send the report by email.

In this video, Shah will look at dashboards, inquiries, and reports in Acumatica in detail.
